本種は雌雄で触角の形状は変わらない。本州から琉球列島まで広く分布し、マレーシアからも記録されている。様々な植物から得られているが、特にイヌツゲ、ソヨゴ、カクレミノの葉に多く見られる。

This species not show the sexual dimorphism in antennae: male antennal segment VI is almost as in female. It is widely distributed from Honshu to the Ryukyu Islands, and recorded from Malaysia. It occurs on many kinds of plants, especially Ilex crenata, Ilex pedunculosa and Dendropanax trifidus.
