本種は雌雄異形でメスの触角第６節はオスのものよりやや長くなる。これまで群馬県の一部からのみ発見されている。４～５月にニシキギの新葉に非常に多数の個体が発生するが詳しい生態は不明。

This species slightly shows the sexual dimorphism in the antennae: male antennal segment VI is slightly longer than that of female. It has been collected from Gunma prefecture in central Honshu. Its biology is unknown but numerous individuals occur on the young leaves of Euonymus alatus at April to May.
